How hard is the install?

Actually it is really easy... All you do is:

1) Purchase and download the software and get your site license.

2) Unzip the files to a folder on your computer example: "magic_404".

3) You should have an file called "404.shtml" and a folder called "the_404_includes" in the new folder ("magic_404") you created.

4) Open the "common_magic.php" file located in the "the_404_includes" folder and follow the instructions to set your site license, a starting point for your site (example: Internet Resources) your site name, tag line, Google id, Amazon id, your email addresses, etc... in the file and save it.

5)Upload your software using an FTP program, just grab all the files and folders from your "magic_404" folder and put them in the root directory of your server. (Make sure you upload as binary.)

6) Once you have uploaded the files as soon as you hit your web site the first time, (Type in a non existent page.) an email will be sent to you with your local "key.php" file which will need to be uploaded into the "the_404_includes" folder. (This is in case our licensing servers are unreachable the key file will allow your site to run up to one month without talking to our servers.)

7) That's it... You are done!! Pretty simple huh?
